Intentional Pursuit of Development
Inspired by one of our co-founders, Christopher Pearson, HigherMinds is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization created in 2023 after many years of bringing men together to dive deeply into how we may internalize what we do and why we do it to generate a reflective approach to improving ourselves as we strive to serve others.
Our intentional focus comes by way of decades of collective service from many of those who chose to join us in our discussions. From major sports industry, long time civil servants, to corporate affiliation, our diverse backgrounds have given us the experience to share perspectives in ways that drive towards enhancing the lives of others through education, story-telling, and leadership.

An Oakland California native, Joseph has spent his life engaging in the community in a variety of ways. From being present and prioritizing his family, using his trade skills to invest in local neighborhood development, to mentoring young adults while encouraging a positive attitude towards choosing the right path.

A long time member of the California East Bay community and a local small business owner, Christopher Pearson has been recognized as a professional in the field of performance training for over 20 years. Pearson is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is a Board-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
